Givenworks proudly announces the commencement of "Givenworks Counselling" services from our premises at Upper Beaconsfield.

Jenny Austin began her training in Prayer Ministry in 1993 and has since completed and then led numerous in-depth courses. She began with ‘Wholeness Through Christ Ministries’ and then progressed to ‘Sonrise Family Ministries’ where she was a part of the leadership team of the ‘Sonrise Healing School’ since its inception in 2002, until 2010, teaching and training others in the field.

Through all this time, because of her desire to see people healed of their wounds and set free from the pain of past traumatic experiences, she has also been practising at various church based centres in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

Jenny has ministered to many people with a wide variety of problems. The experience she has gained has helped to equip her to handle a large range of social and spiritual problems effectively and with compassion.

Whilst specialising in Prayer Counselling, Jenny also is accredited with a Diploma of Professional Counselling, which has provided a broader skills’ base to draw upon, in her work.

Jenny's experience and expertise are becoming well known and her services highly sought after and such is the demand, we have decided to now offer these services on a professional basis on certain weekdays from the comfortable, safe and relaxed surroundings of our Upper Beaconsfield property.

Prayer Counselling is a very effective ministry which, through careful dialogue and exploration, healing strategies can be determined and applied to each person's unique needs. Strategy formulation usually relies upon guidance in clear identification of problems and their root causes and origins and revolving the ministry around these.

Prayer Counselling involves deep examination with the aim of healing, according to God’s grace, rather than just management of problems. The counselling relationship provides continuity for clients who need help and support for both short and extended periods of time.

Any Christian who has challenges which are being identified as problems which require some attention and help. Chances are you have already had some initial counselling and maybe prayer at your church or small group, which requires building upon. Your issues could be very urgent or may not necessarily be of a major nature now but enough to be of concern, enough to be influencing your lifestyle and relationships or perhaps you are aware that they could become major in nature if ignored.

It is also possible that you are recognising unwelcoming types of behaviour, strongholds, sinful patterns, even health patterns that you see elsewhere in your family that you want addressed and healed - the list that can be helped by this ministry is very long!

You have identified that issues are present which need help resolving. It is likely there are various kinds of spiritual/social/behavioural/generational reasons behind what is happening but you don’t know what they are or how to deal with them. It is not only easier to express your feelings to a stranger rather than your friends or even pastor, you have more confidence when this stranger is highly qualified, skilled and experienced at identifying harmful events of the past and the course of action ahead to healing.
